Circondata dal Monte Gallo e il Monte Pellegrino la bomboniera si affaccia sul mare dove il colore è un continuo incrocio tra il turchese, blu, verde. Una lingua di Spiaggia coralligena, d'orata, fine fa da cornice come un fiocco che avvolge il regalo. Ville in stile Liberty caratterizzano l'architettura del luogo, rendendolo un importante punto di riferimento per la storia del modernismo internazionale. Molte opere sono del celebre architetto Ernesto Basile e sono tra i migliori esempi dell'architettura dell'Art Nouveau in Italia e in Europa.
