Questa foto fu scattata il primo giorno dell'eruzione (iniziata la notte di venerdì 19 marzo, la foto è del 20 marzo) che sembra ad oggi ormai essersi conclusa.
Io mi trovavo ad un centinaio di metri forse dalla bocca (la foto è un crop dell'originale scattata a 200mm)
Le persone ritratte nell'immagine non erano così vicine come sembra, ma erano cmq molto più vicine di me.
Nessuno probabilmente poteva sapere al 100% quanto fosse sicuro o meno essere lì, dove mi trovavo io c'erano gli operatori della protezione civile che erano anche più avanti.
Mi ero portato un caschetto da alpinismo che ho usato per tutto il tempo che ho trascorso lì vicino.
Dopo il 20 marzo sono tornato almeno altre 15 volte sul sito dell'eruzione che si è rilevata poi essere piuttosto 'amichevole'.
Nel corso di tutti questi mesi non ci sono stati infatti incidenti nonostante l'altissimo numero di persone che sono andate a visitare il sito. |
