Non è facile al galoppo bisogna essere molto abili e bisogna avere passione e fermezza ma i sardi sono valenti e tenaci cavalieri, io confido che ce la farà perché ha cuore ---------------------------------------------------LA SARTIGLIA - Si tratta di una delle manifestazioni tradizionali più affascinanti della Sardegna, uno degli eventi che chiunque ami la nostra isola deve vivere almeno una volta nella vita. Ma di cosa si tratta? La Sartiglia è una corsa alla stella che riecheggia le tradizione medievale spagnola, quando giostre equestri venivano organizzate nelle città regie di Oristano, Cagliari, Sassari e Iglesias. Tanto che il termine “Sartiglia” deriva dal castigliano “Sortija“, a sua volta derivante dal latino “sorticula“, ossia “anello“. Non si esclude però che le giostre equestri si svolgessero anche in periodo Giudicale. La Sartiglia di Oristano ufficialmente è menzionata per la prima volta in documenti che risalgono al 1547, dove si parla di spettacoli organizzati in onore dell'imperatore Carlo V. Giochi di abilità. Spada e lancia. Cavalli lanciati alla corsa. Anelli da infilzare. Cavalieri pronti a tutto pur di strappare un applauso all'imperatore e al pubblico.
