Ready for the long journey sent on October 21, 2020 (0:09) by Gios. 79 comments, 1773 views. [retina]

, 1/250 f/4.0, ISO 200, hand held.

Large, many drive out swallows, (various species) because they get dirty. Nice document.

A heartfelt thanks to:

Andrea :-P There is no doubt what you say, where there are farms there are no shortage of insects, so swallows and the like are present. But I live near the Adige and I think it is due to the abundance of marsh insects, especially mosquitoes. Every year at the time of departure their meeting point is the bell tower of the church in front; they never go wrong.
Save :-P
bye gios ;-)

Gaet :-P
Marco :-P Unfortunately more than drive away destroy the nests, for this odious habit I have made more than one quarrel with neighbors. But it's time lost alas.
bye gios ;-)

Each bird has its own note and bell... when flying in the flock every bird ceases to be a bird and becomes part of the flock no one slams, no one falls all are one, still leaving the possibility to each one to be and return, one absolute again a bird..
Stupenda, as always there are photos that make me want to write what they transmit to me instantly I still have not read the caption I do it immediately ...
I'm already in my bookmarks...
I'm just a complimemto my friend

Bravo Gios; you did well to stop this moment; I too, since I was a child, watched for a long time, full of emotion, these increasingly crowded groupings and the rapid flights around the house and the camp, and the impression was that they wanted to say goodbye before leaving and in fact after a few days there was none.
Yes, then there was the magic of seeing them return to the two nests in the barn, in spring, and busy feeding the hungry little ones, and seeing them always spinning very close around the tractor during the mowing of alfalfa. But at the time of departure, their flying together in wide laps made me tear.
