Villa dei Quintili - Era una villa immensa, la più vasta fra tutte quelle del suburbio romano dopo villa Adriana. Era così grande e le rovine così estese, che nei secoli scorsi si pensava che qui fosse esistita addirittura una città, alla quale si dava il nome di "Roma Vecchia". Si tratta invece dei resti della proprietà di due ricchi fratelli, Sesto Quintiliano Condiano e Sesto Quintiliano Valeriano Massimo, da cui il nome di Villa dei Quintili. Il complesso monumentale si affaccia a terrazze sulla campagna romana ed offre un panorama che ha ispirato nel tempo molti celebri artisti: infatti la Villa dei Quintili nell'800 ispirò spesso quadri e stampe: i grandiosi ruderi esercitavano una romantica suggestione sui visitatori stranieri e divennero parte della iconografia dell'antica Roma.
