I was there years ago. Great place Selinunte, unfortunately poorly cared for and valued, like so many other archaeological sites of Sicily.
The thing that struck me the most was the ugliness of all those buildings (abusive?) in the vicinity and havoc of the beautiful sandy beach that stands nearby.
A pity, because from your excellent shot you can see how magnificent we have and how big and unexpressed are the historical and cultural potential of Italy and Sicily in particular. But so much is.....

Hello Pinitti, unfortunately you are perfectly right. In Italy we have treasures from the past, but only recently we appreciate its value. Think of the havoc that has been done in the city of Rome.
In Sicily, then, the culture of history with its beauties and its artistic-cultural and tourist value, is developing with some delay.
Things are slowly changing, but damage is now irreversible and there is still much to do.
Thank you for your positive appreciation for this shot, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
