Here is the thing Fabio, the file looks good to me!
If I thought there was more background noise that needed to be removed I wouldn't waste my time using layer masks.
I use a different de-noise program for noise removal and if i thought it was needed it would have been very easy to turn up the noise reduction that would effect the background only.
Every image from this trip to Africa has noise removed to the level I believe is adequate.
I have the color file and the perceived 'extra' noise is more a function of the Desaturation picking up more very fine water mist.
