Amo il deserto perché nel suo avvolgente silenzio, io mi sento viva, immersa in uno spazio senza fine, dove il tempo si dilegua. Fra le sue dune, si perde il mio sguardo, mentre fra le mie dita, sento il tocco della sua sabbia leggera che sembra seta liquida. Di notte, E di notte il cielo stellato, luminoso e splendente come in nessun altro luogo, mi ha trasmesso il senso dell'immensità dell'universo, facendomi provare l'autentica sensazione di essere in un mondo nuovo, dove tutto è pace, dove il tempo non esiste, dove le sue luci e le sue ombre ti fanno muovere e dove la scoperta di un'oasi ti fa palpitare il cuore di autentica gioia. Nel deserto egiziano, ho provato queste sensazioni, ho immaginato viaggiatori solitari e carovane. Ho risentito voci antiche, visto fuochi tremolanti davanti a tende di fortuna, di chi fa una sosta e aspetta il nuovo giorno per riprendere il suo cammino. Commenti e critiche sempre molto graditi.
