Torbole, situato sul golfo nord del Lago di Garda, tra il Monte Baldo ad est e la piana del Sarche a nord, è la destinazione più ricercata dagli appassionati di windsurf. Torbole sul Garda, centro velico e surfistico di rilievo internazionale, con spiagge libere e attrezzate, è anche punto di partenza per escursioni in mountain bike, dolci passeggiate e trekking. Torbole era un paesino di pescatori e barcaioli. Il porticciolo è l'angolo più pittoresco di Torbole, con la Vecchia Dogana e Casa Beust. Torbole affascinò anche Goethe, che descrisse i suoi venti come una meraviglia della natura e uno spettacolo incantevole. Le descrizioni entusiastiche di Goethe spinsero numerosi giovani pittori e poeti impegnati nel Grand Tour a visitare Torbole sul Garda.
