La Chiesa di Sant'Ambrogio di Alassio risale al XI secolo ed è sita sul luogo sul quale si trovava già una chiesetta.. L'edificio sacro, così come possiamo ammirarlo oggi, risale ad una riedificazione ed ampliamento del XV secolo. La facciata rinascimentale risale al 1896, e conserva un bellissimo portale centrale in ardesia, del XVI secolo. Sul portale sono raffigurati sant'Ambrogio, Cristo, gli Apostoli e l'Eterno. Il campanile adiacente la chiesa è in stile romanico-gotico. L'interno dell'edificio è in barocco, a tre navate. È possibile ammirare dipinti di Giovanni Andrea De Ferrari, di Giulio Benso e di Giovanni Battista Castello. L'affresco sulla volta è di Virgilio Grana, e raffigura scene di vita di Sant'Ambrogio. L'altare dedicato a Sant'Anna espone una tela di Francesco Carrega. il tabernacolo è in pietra nera, lavorata e datata 1470.
