Nell'immagine, una porzione, la parte posteriore, del castello fantasma della città fortificata di Izadkhast costruito con argilla e paglia.Fondata nel 300 circa d.c.questa cittadina fortificata,distante circa 130 km. da Isfahan, ha visto concludersi la sua storia quando l'esondazione dell'adiacente fiume ne ha quasi provocato la liquefazione.rendendo necessaria l'evacuazione.Da circa 150 anni è una città fantasma. L'intero complesso di Izadkhast, compreso l'adiacente caravanserraglio è in attesa di essere inserito nel Patrimonio mondiale dell'Umanità.
