Well, it's quite fun even if it's not the legendary "Trioplan" of the same house!
I'm anxious to try it in the open air to see the effect of the bokeh on the bright reflections of the backgrounds, but we must wait at least for spring! :-(
Many thanks for the welcome comment!
A big wish for a good 2018 for you and your loved ones!

some time ago I had looked at the prices of the new Trioplan, but I'm frankly over what I'm willing to spend, given my skills ... it would be like buying a new-born Ferrari :-)
the used ones I think are practically unobtainable ...
I look forward to your spring photos outdoors ;-)
hello, thanks for the good wishes!

Michele, on Ebay you can find some used Trioplan around 500/700 Euro (maybe even someone to something less, but it will be reliable?), A figure that I consider too high to get the bubble bokeh trick!
So I settled for the Oreston (about 70 euros including screw adapter 42 to attack Canon Eos) that for what I intend to do is more than good (very correct is your speech Ferrari!).
The real problem of this goal is that, having to use it at maximum aperture to get the bubbles (f / 1.8) the maf becomes really problematic for the very limited depth of field you have.
The important thing, however, is to have fun !!!!
Greetings again!

thanks for the information Massimo, I will try to find the Oreston that, however, seems to me to give excellent results!
good evening, Michele

They are special optics that return very pleasing effects but, if what you posted is just a test, when you "take your hand" what happens?
It's beautiful, Massimo, congratulations.

Paolo, first of all thank you for the comment, nice, flattering and very welcome!
This optic, to give discreet results, must be used at maximum aperture (f./1,8) which creates problems of depth of field and, therefore, of focusing, not laughing and, moreover, all in manual.
In addition, the test was carried out under optimal conditions, ie with the dark background and the lighted tree lamps, so it is already a rather "spoiled" use of the lens.
The true judgment can be given on outdoor photos where, as they say, the problems described above will be even more evident.
We'll see ....
Greetings!

Maximum:-)
