Il cappellino con il fiocco scuro di taffetà scuro, esposto insieme all'altro in una vetrina di Corso Vittorio Emanuele, mi ha riportata alla mente villa La Cucciola sulle colline di Varese, residenza di Amalia Liana Cambiasi Negretti, in arte Liala. Il nome glielo cambiò D'Annunzio, cambiando la enne di Liana nella elle di Liala. Liala era rimasta ferma a quei lontani anni, il progresso, la modernità non le appartenevano, nei suoi ricordi, nomi illustri di vecchia nobiltà, lei stessa per parte materna era nobile, ramo Odelscalchi, ancora nel 1990, mi disse che quando di sera, si sedeva a vedere la televisione, si metteva il suo filo di perle, si cambiava per la cena, anche se non aveva ospiti.
