Sulle rive della Bormida l'antico borgo di Millesimo merita una sosta per visitare la “Gaietta” il “ponte vecchio”. Il Ponte La Gaietta, già esistente nel 1206 (l'atto di fondazione firmato da Enrico II venne stipulato “apud pontem Millesimi”, cioè presso il ponte di Millesimo), è uno dei pochi esempi di ponte fortificato in Italia (unico esemplare in liguria); una delle due arcate in pietra è originale mentre la torre di guardia risale al XIV secolo.
