Mi capita spesso di passare in via San Raffaele a Milano, e l'altro giorno, ho assistito a questa scenetta che, da curiosa quale sono, mi ha portata ad avvicinarmi per saperne di più. La signora che vedete seduta e, che a prima vista, potrebbe sembrare "una che chiede la carità", è in effetti, una persona che, non avendo una casa (perché ospite di un dormitorio pubblico), aspetta i suoi clienti vicino alla chiesa di San Raffaele. Fa maglioncini, centri all'uncinetto, e all'occorenza anche bambole e giocattolo di lenci. Nel momento in cui ho chiesto il permesso di fotografarla, parlava con una sua cliente che, per un'associazione di volontariato, tutti gli anni, le commissiona per tempo, moltissime "pigotte" da vendere per beneficenza a Natale. La Pigotta, per chi non lo sapesse, è la classica bambola di pezza che i milanesi chiamano "pigotta". La signora non si lamenta, mi ha detto che riesce a vivere decorosamente, il suo sogno sarebbe quello di avere un tetto tutto suo sulla testa, anche un monolocale. Ha fatto domande su domande all'Istituto delle Case Popolari, senza alcun esito. Non le ho promesso nulla, ma voglio provare a parlare del suo caso a una persona che se, solo volesse, potrebbe esaudire il desiderio di questa dignitosa e bella persona.
