La Spiaggia della Tonnara di Palmi deve il suo nome ad un'antica tonnara che vi sorgeva nel Novecento, di cui oggi non c'è più traccia. Si tratta di una splendida spiaggia di sabbia bianca lunga quasi 2 chilometri, delimitata a sud da un suggestivo scoglio con sopra un ulivo detto Scoglio dell'Ulivo, a nord da piccoli scogli residui di un'antica scogliera e dominata alle spalle dal bastione montuoso del Sant'Elia, estrema propaggine aspromontana. Il mare che la bagna è bellissimo, turchese, limpido e trasparente, con fondali preziosi e ricchi che meritano una visita subacquea...
