Al centro del lato orientale del chiostro si apre la sala capitolare fiancheggiata da due bifore con archi a tutto sesto. Il cui pavimento della sala è ad un metro circa al di sotto da quello del chiostro è a due navate coperto da volte a crociera, che si appoggiano a semi pilastri a fasci addossati alle pareti e a due pilastri del centro. La sala capitolare può considerarsi la sede dello stato maggiore del monastero. Lungo il perimetro, sono disposti i sedili di pietra su cui i frati discutevano di problemi di teologia, di interessi economici che l'abbazia aveva in altre regioni. Qui si riunivano anche per eleggere l'abate e gli altri superiori.
