Ero in piazza del Duomo, e l'ho attraversata di corsa, perché verso la Galleria, avevo visto un corvo tutto in nero (passatemi il termine) era un tipo tutto vestito di nero con un cappellaccio in tinta. Al centro fra due ragazze, sembrava dettar legge con sguardo saccente e pronto alla replica. Mi sono avvicinata il più possibile, fingendo di armeggiare con la reflex, lui inglese, le ragazze italiane. In sintesi, mi è parso di capire che studiassero nel suo stesso college londinese, e lo ospitavano nel suo viaggio in Italia. Come fare a portare a casa uno scatto? Non avevo l'obiettivo adatto, e cambiarlo sarebbe stata un'impresa: potevano spostarsi da un momento all'altro. Nella sfortuna, la lente sbagliata, mi è venuta in soccorso, il mio 10-18 su 100D, è tutto fuorché adatta a ritratti, ma insomma bisognava fare di necessità, virtù. Mentre, cercavo di trovare l'angolazione migliore, il tipo, mi ha fatto un eloquente cenno con la mano che, significava: “No photo”. Ho raccolto tutto il mio coraggio e la mia proverbiale “faccia da finta innocente”, retaggio della mia professione, mi sono avvicinata, e mostrando l'obiettivo, gli ho detto che si trattava di un grandangolo per riprendere la piazza nella sua vastità. Ha blaterato un “sorry”, e io ho riguadagnato la mia posizione, e senza perdere tempo, ho scattato. Ovviamente ho fatto più scatti, cambiando continuamente posizione, nel caso guardasse ancora nella mia direzione. Lenta sbagliata, ma che cosa non si fa per non perdere uno scatto!!!
