Suonare in luoghi inconsueti, dove incontri frettolosi e distratti si trasformano, grazie alle note macinate dall'organetto di barberia, in occasioni gioiose di gioco e di sogno. Alberto Bertolino si immerge in questo mondo recuperando l'antica tradizione di musica meccanica. Musicista, attore cantante ma soprattutto cantastorie e musicista di strada. E' infatti la strada il palcoscenico prediletto, ed è ancora la strada che lo porta sin dal 1994 a esibirsi in molti paesi. All'inizio del suo percorso è giocoliere, innamorato di palle, clave, monocicli, e percorre per due anni le strade d'Europa. Ha bisogno di spazio, di conoscere di vedere e respirare la vita. E intanto scopre che riesce a vivere grazie al suo lavoro. La scelta è fatta! E si comincia lavorare. Al ritorno dal viaggio studia musica e si avvicina al mondo dei burattini. Altra magica avventura e l'ingresso in un mondo parallelo, il mondo del teatro. Altri viaggi, altre avventure, altre amicizie e la scoperta della musica meccanica. Un vecchio organetto e una nuova sfida. Fare suonare da un vecchio strumento alimentato a valzer e mazurche ritmi decisamente meno scontati e canzoni improbabili. Nel 2000 infatti suona nell' opera radiofonica Calendario di Stefano Giannotti, prima trasmissione radiofonica: 7 Giugno 2002, DeutschlandRadio Berlin. Altro giro e altro incontro, importante e produttivo. L'incontro con Felice Pantone, attore cantastorie e polistrumentista. Nasce così il duo Ugo e Casimiro tuttora attivo. Attualmente propone i suoi spettacoli di cantastorie o burattini e lo potrete incontrare nei più prestigiosi festival o nei vicoli delle vostre città.
