Questa mia immagine merita due parole di commento, non per dare spiegazioni sulla stessa ma per evidenziare il grado di efficienza di un popolo. Mi trovavo in un piccolo villaggio-porticciolo nei pressi di Freeport, Grand Bahama, ed il vetro rotto in primo piano è quello di una cabina telefonica "inglese" (probabile retaggio di quella che, fino al 1973, fu la "dominazione" britannica in queste isole): ho intravisto questo "rettangolo" (con quello che ci stava dietro) e velocemente (ero con moglie ed amici) ho cercato di comporre un'inquadratura in qualche modo interessante. Nel prosieguo della giornata ho cercato di pensare alle "potenzialità" offerte da quel vetro scheggiato con i colori delle case intorno e così, il giorno dopo sono tornato, di tutto proposito e da solo, nel villaggio per cercare di mettere a frutto quello che avevo elaborato nella mia mente. Con grande sorpresa e non con meno "delusione" ho trovato il vetro... sostituito. Evidentemente qualcosa di "inglese" in queste terre è... rimasto. Ho perso un'occasione e questa rimane l'unica immagine a... "ricordo"!
