La città di Tabgha sorge sulla sponda nord-occidentale del Lago di Tiberiade, ai piedi del Monte delle Beatitudini. Qui, Gesù, pronunciò il famoso discorso della “Montagna”, circondato dai suoi apostoli e da una moltitudine di gente che lo seguiva ovunque. In quel periodo, Gesù, aveva lasciato Nazareth e si era trasferito a Cafarnao, ospite del suo apostolo Simon Pietro, vicino a Tabhga , nome che deriva dalla deformazione araba del termine greco “heptapegon” cioè “sette sorgenti”. La zona è ricca di acque e densa di vegetazione, qui la Tradizione ha ambientato tre importanti episodi evangelici, ricordati da tre santuari diversi: la Moltiplicazione dei pani, la Pesca miracolosa con il conferimento del Primato a Pietro e il Discorso della montagna. Fondamentale punto di riferimento per la ricerca archeologica è stata la accurata descrizione della pellegrina Egeria che visitò il sito intorno al 380 d.C. e il cui racconto è stato sostanzialmente confermato dagli scavi. Oggi, in quello stesso punto, sorge questo Santuario a forma ottagonale con due navate concentriche ed un portico all'intorno. Sullo stile delle chiese bizantine, l'interno è rivestito in mosaico con pannelli in alabastro che riportano le otto Beatitudini. Sul pavimento sono rappresentati i simboli delle tre virtù teologali (fede, speranza e carità) e delle quattro virtù cardinali (prudenza, giustizia, fortezza e temperanza). La fotocamera era una Olympus E-500 e l'obiettivo Zuiko Digital Ed 35-100mm Mi scuso ma non sono riuscita ad aggiungerli. Critiche e commenti sempre super graditi. Grazie.
