La Centrale Enel Taccani di Trezzo sull'Adda (tuttora funzionante), viene realizzata nel 1909 dall'architetto Giuliano Moretti utilizzando una particolare pietra denominata "ceppo dell'Adda". La centrale venne commissionata dall'industriale Cristoforo Crespi per poter produrre l'energia elettrica necessaria ai suoi stabilimenti...uniche condizione che pose erano che il manufatto si potesse intonare nel contesto paesagistico in cui veniva eretto e che non fosse in disaccordo con il sovrastante castello visconteo. La centrale venne concepita suddivisa in tre corpi: quello di sinistra, allungato, conteneva le turbine che producevano 10.000 Kw e nel quale 6 turbine/alternatore sono ancora in funzione; quello centrale sopraelevato destinato ai quadri di comando; quello di sinistra era una centrale termoelettrica da 4.000 Kw, ora smantellata, destinato, come salone liberty, ad accogliere manifestazioni, concerti ed altro...
