L'imponente Palazzo Silimbani, situato a Cà Grignella, una frazione di Cavarzere (VE), fu costruito intorno alla metà del 1800 sotto il dominio austroungarico come avamposto militare, in seguito fu utilizzato come sede dell'azienda agricola. Nel novembre del 1951, durante l'alluvione del Po, fu la salvezza di quanti si rifugiarono sul tetto del palazzo per sfuggire alle acque, in attesa dei soccorsi. Il "Gazzettino" del 20 novembre di quell'anno scrive di 70 persone isolate dall'alluvione che si salvarono a Palazzo Silimbani.
