...molti non sanno, compreso me fino a poco fa, che il pettirosso espelle la borra, non in un' unica parte ,ma sottoforma di palline somiglianti ad un chicco di caffè che vengono rigurgitate in rapida sequenza nel giro di qualche minuto; nella foto potete notare come abbia già la seguente borra nel becco pronta per l'espulsione. Personalmente non avevo mai assistito a questo avvenimento fisiologico e facendo una rapida ricerca ho potuto constatare come le documentazioni in merito, sopratutto fotografiche, siano molto scarse.
