Le ghorfas sono costruzioni in pietra grezza, strette e col la volta a botte. Una scaletta ripidissima che parte dalla strada immette al primo piano. Inventate dai berberi e adottate anche dai nomadi, al principio servivano come cinte difensive e deposito di granaglie e attrezzi, poi furono adibite anche ad abitazioni.
