Fulvio, is the flower of a legume certainly, more precisely of a pea. Maybe you have not recognized because it is still in bud. The darkest part of the flower is seen in transparency, in the light.
Thank you for your attention.
Hello, Joseph.

Great photo touch! Macro photography often turns into a very simple demonstration of photographic technique; in this way the photos that come out diventanto only scientific material. But in this case, however, you managed to pull out all the delicacy of a simple pea flower wet with the dew ... magnificent, it gives me 'the idea of ??serenity!!
And now a question: I am a novice of photography and am trying to learn from you that you know more than me ... so I wanted to ask how you made this picture and how did you darken the background. I read something in the comment but I could not understand much because I'm a novice!
Again congratulations

Mngon.
Excuse me if I answer with a little 'late, but these days I can not be assiduous as usual.
First of all, thank you for your attention and your nice comment.
The technique is simple: get up early in the morning, before the sun; you have to be faster than him and wait for it to get up from the horizon lurking behind the subject, against the light, you have carefully chosen; background as you have identified an area of ??intense shadow, without lights that pass through. When the beam of sunlight illuminates it detects the brightness of the light tones of the strongest (Method of spot metering) and more quickly snaps photos with different exposures (I run a kind of bracketing manual). You have to be very fast because the sun, when he wakes up, he has a terrible hurry: he wants to inspect the ground as quickly as possible. If the exposure is calculated on the highest values, and not on the midtone, shadow areas ranging in underexposure; if the shadow is strong turn black or nearly so. It will then be very easy in PS, with the Curves tool or Replace Color, finish blacken the background if there is still a need.
Let me know if I was not clear and quite comprehensive.

How many times have I watched a pea flower, but only now I find fascinating as it can be in chiaroscuro, wet with dew

Federica, I love the backlight because it creates magic with the lights and the colors that extracts through the flowers. Thank you for visiting and the nice comment.
