Ciao Marco.

This is my last contribution to this discussion because there are none so deaf as those who will not hear.
In my opinion, this discussion does not pollute anything ...
Accordingly say that the shot is successful both from the point of view of the composition, that the timing of the shutter that the emotional point of view. The pathos is extraordinary!
I'm not judging anyone, mind you, at the same time laurel, I ask you: have you ever been in africa, have you ever tried to photograph the wildebeest running, have you tried to do some panning in these subjects?
From the response of Mario, I assume that as I wrote previously, the difficulty of keeping the MAF on the subject in the race is due to the maintenance of 'active auto focus working in aperture priority, continuous shooting etc.,ergo ..... this anxiety in trying to keep focus on the subject, is felt in the shot.
Working in shutter priority, manual MAF director of the passage of the wildebeest, perfectly parallel to the jeep, you would have achieved the maximum, focusing only get one fluid motion, the slower time would provide the perfect backdrop and the anxiety described above do not there would have been. Oscillatory movement of the wildebeest you will not have cared nothing.
This is it. Hello Mark.

Saluti Ale

Great Panning exalted from the herd in the background even more blurred.
