Mi trovo molto bene con quella lente, ho da poco anche il 70-200 f/2.8 II IS ma il 70-300 non l'ho venduto perchè è davvero piccolo e comodo da portarsi dietro e la qualità non manca, sabato mattina andrò in montagna a fare qualche scatto e mi porto dietro il 70-300 proprio per le dimensioni e la qualità.
Naturalmente il 70-200 ha una qualità di immagine oggettivamente migliore sotto ogni punto di vista ma è grosso e pesante e per paesaggio non c'è un gran guadagno in prestazioni dato che il diaframma resta sempre un po' chiuso.
Non sono così importanti quei 100mm in più rispetto al 70-200 se fai paesaggio, lo diventano se fai sport o avifauna, il bello però di quella lente è la sua buona qualità generale, anche a tutta apertura, unita a dimensioni contenute.
Dal punto di vista della costruzione poi ti posso dire che è assolutamente fantastico, secondo me anche meglio del biancone.
