Unforgettable Gino (Tribute to Gino Bartali) sent on September 23, 2013 (15:49) by Koda59. 80 comments, 5358 views.

Firenze, Italy.

Hello Koda .. Bravissimo for posting this beautiful picture and this tribute. In my house were all for Coppi, but these were true champions of dualism and a virtue in their competitions were an example of sportsmanship and life.
A greeting.

Paolo Corona: @
these true champions of dualism were a virtue and in their competitions were an example of sportsmanship and life.
. Thanks Paul for the comment. In fact, these two samples have always shown their value in sports and in life, but allow me to say that Gino Bartali did something heroic and extraordinary that very few other samples have done: save lives at the risk of their own and the next joint. This thing is not negligible, a few others would be willing to take such risks. See dear Paul each of us after death will be remembered not for the fame or for the successes achieved but for their heroic virtues, of what I am and I will always be deeply convinced. A special greeting to you for this beautiful contribution. Koda:-P ;-)

Ugo Foscolo: The Tomb:

Only he who leaves no legacy of love little joy in, and if you just look after the funeral, err sees his spirit ...

Your as well as a lesson in humanity it is also of culture ;-).

Thanks for sharing this beautiful that I wanted to point out.

A greeting.

@ Simona Loredana and Gramolelli @ Claudio: Thanks Simon, Claudio thanks for your beautiful comment and for your very welcome step. It gives me great pleasure to share this memory with you and with all those who have at heart the deepest values ??that dwell within each of us: freedom, democracy, respect for human life regardless of race, skin color and personal ethical and religious ideas. Along with Gino Bartali think it is right to remember and thank all those who have lost their lives to respect these values.

I am glad that you've seen Carmelo, even if only on that occasion, the rest as I have known only during the awards ceremony of the Tour of Italy in 1989. But his face and his expression remained etched in my memory. Regards, thanks for your contribution and good evening from Koda ;-)

Hello Bear, by late in this picture and I thought after so many comments to be the first woman who intervenes and
instead three of my friends have gone before me and I am happy.
As for me, I tell you that as a baby, my father took me with him along the routes of the cycling races to see Coppi and Bartali, thought a bit '! I always followed cycling and humanity of Bartali has always struck me as opposed to Coppi, who was mentioned in the chronicles, in addition to the skill of the rider, for very different reasons.
What a time! Now follow much less also calcium for various reasons.
Thank you for this beautiful and meaningful picture that did express to those who preceded me good feelings, including your course :-)
Have a nice day
Hello hello

. I have loved Lully that I have to thank you so much for the beautiful comment. I'm glad that you understand and appreciate my intent which is to stimulate people to leave comments not only the image but above all to come together to talk about this wonderful person who did so well to cycling and beyond, leaving a indelible mark on the history of the sport, and especially that he was appreciated for the great generosity and humanity. E 'of positive samples as Bartali that our society has a sacred need. Lully a big thanks for the comment and for the welcome step. Greetings Koda:-P ;-)
