Hello ... I watched your pictures and after I made my compliments I wanted to ask you a question (I'm a beginner) .... in many landscape shots using a wide aperture, there is a particular reason? For clarity nn would be more correct to close a hair more? Ciao e grazie |

Hello Luke, Yes, what you say is true, close to the diaphragm results in greater clarity and detail of the image (provided you do not go too close to the diaphragms, then fall on the diffraction phenomenon and we are back to square one ..). Sometimes, however, have an aperture stopped down too far, especially in certain night, it allows you to have a shot fast enough to let you capture the event that interests you. That lightning is a prime example (I also made the joke:-D:-D) I saw them once every 20 seconds and I knew that with the aperture I could afford to take between 20 and 40 seconds without a obscene pictures and shoot well anyway lightning, which is why it was chosen. If I had taken at f11 would have had more time and the lightning would resultato cone a small strip of light on a black background plate.
