La spiaggia di Cofete è una delle spiagge più lunghe delle Canarie, con 13 km di sabbia dorata. Si trova a sud di Fuerteventura. E' un luogo selvaggio ed incontaminato circondato dalle imponenti montagne della penisola di Jandia ed è raggiungibile solo con strada sterrata di almeno 16 km. Nonostante ci abbia provato in due giornate diverse, non sono stata fortunata con le condizioni atmosferiche. Dal belvedere le raffiche di vento erano così intense che era impossibile scendere dall'auto e la visibilità era pessima. Passeggiare lungo il mare mi ha dato un senso di libertà assoluta nonostante il tempo incerto o forse proprio grazie al vento, al rumore delle onde del mare e alle pochissime persone !
