The Penna furnace sent on 17 Febbraio 2026 (0:00) by Agata Arezzo. 107 comments, 1695 views.

La Fornace Penna, fu realizzata tra il 1909 ed il 1912, a ridosso del mare a Punta Pisciotto, presso Sanpieri. Lo stabilimento produceva laterizi che venivano esportati in molti paesi mediterranei; la cessazione dell'attività avvenne durante la notte del 26 Gennaio 1924, a causa di un incendio doloso. Queste rovine, hanno un grande fascino e sono oggi una testimonianza di archeologia industriale di grande rilievo. Nello sceneggiato di Montalbano questa fornace viene chiamata "La Mannara". Ho scattato questa foto nel 2016, ma ultimamente ho rivisto la post produzione e l'ho convertita in bn, nelle mie gallerie è presente una versione a colori.
