Well, objectively as well as making an impression in appearance the catadioptric monster does its part very well I seem to see.

Wow what a surrender!
However, I challenge you to take a photo taken with a very sharp lens and soften it obtaining THIS SAME rendering, this same effect of three-dimensionality pastel. In my opinion, it is not possible.

Ah Fumagalli Fumagalli :-)
In the 90s the same manufacturer of this gun designed and produced the 135 mm f2 d dc... I think the result at f2 with the defocus control would have been excellent, too bad I didn't start with that too for a comparison under the same conditions. A warm greeting to all.

The crushing of the planes certainly does not make it a portrait lens, then the provocation is there but from here to say that it does well in portraiture...

Giampaolo I fully support your idea of portrait photography.
I agree on the lenses, today they buy hyper-sharp lenses and then flatten everything in post production.
They take bursts and take home 5000 photos to have a few shots, if they are lucky, good.
Since I also went through the technological phase but then I understood, I hope that one day they will grow up and understand them too.
