Victoria street, costruita tra il 1829 ed il 1834 e che in origine si chiamava Bow street (il nome attuale le fu dato dopo l'incoronazione della regina Vittoria), è una breve via che collega, nel cuore del centro storico (Old town), Grassmarket con la Royal Mile, caratterizzata dalla presenza di numerosi edifici con le facciate coloratissime che, da entrambi i lati la fiancheggiano. Pare che Victoria street sia stata l'ispirazione per l'immaginaria “Diagon Alley” dei libri di “Harry Potter”. Inutile dirvi quanto mi ci sono divertito, fotograficamente parlando, con questi colori con l'unico, ma grande rimpianto, di non aver mai trovato (pur essendoci tornato parecchie volte) condizioni di luce particolarmente favorevoli.
