Buongiorno cari amici, siamo appena tornati dal nostro viaggio in Olanda e a Parigi. Porto a casa non moltissime foto inquanto mi sono dedicato la mattina e il tardo pomeriggio all'altra grande passione della mia vita: le foto agli aereoplani e sia Amsterdam che Parigi sono due aeroporti favolosi. Del resto poi, a Parigi ed ad Amsterdam nelle città è praticamente impossibile fotografare data la massa di persone circolanti. Comunque qualche foto la porto a casa come questo mulino bianco che non avevo mai fotografato a Kindedijk. Il Kortlandse Molen di Alblasserdam è un mulino da polder costruito nel 1890, in sostituzione di un precedente mulino a palo cavo. Si tratta di un mulino a pietra circolare, con una sezione inferiore cilindrica sormontata da una sezione conica in muratura. Questa forma insolita si trova raramente altrove. Il Kortlandse Molen ha una ruota a cucchiaio esterna al mulino, che fino al 1953 prosciugava il polder sfruttando l'energia eolica. Fu poi venduto al comune di Alblasserdam, che ne ha curato la manutenzione. Il mulino ora prosciuga il polder di Kortland su base volontaria. Il mulino è di proprietà della SIMAV la Fondazione per la conservazione dei mulini nell'Alblasserwaard e nel Vijfheerenlanden, dal 1986. È abitato e non è visitabile. Buona visione.
