Ed ecco Notre Dame de Paris iconico simbolo della capitale francese, restituita al suo splendore e riaperta al pubblico l'8 dicembre 2024. La foto mostra la fila chilometrica per entrare ma non solo nei giorni festivi e di “ponte” ma ininterrotamente dalla sua riapertura. La fase più impegnativa del restauro è stata la ricostruzione della copertura, della guglia, delle volte, dell'attico della navata centrale e del coro e della struttura della torre nord che era stata parzialmente danneggiata dall'incendio. La ricostruzione delle strutture, svolta sotto la direzione dell'architetto-capo di Notre-Dame, Philippe Villeneuve (1963), coadiuvato dagli architetti Rémy Fromont (1977) per la ricostruzione del tetto e Pascal Prunet (1956) per le volte della navata, ha preso due anni di tempo, a partire dall'autunno 2022, una volta ultimata la messa in sicurezza. Con l'aiuto di gigantesche gru si è proceduto alla ricostruzione della volta della crociera, al posizionamento delle strutture del tetto e della copertura e infine alla ricostruzione della guglia, rifatta à l'identique secondo il progetto di Viollet-le-Duc. Naturalmente, la ricostruzione ha anche permesso d'inserire nuovi sistemi di controllo di eventuali incendi basati su pareti metalliche e un sistema di vaporizzatori. Tutto sotto controllo... e lunga vita nei secoli a questo capolavoro dell'arte gotica, puro stile gotico, come quello che vanta il nostro Duomo di Milano.
