The grays are tremendous, and they eat just about anything, this is clearly seen in its beak stuck in the body of the little hare, their classic hunting technique using the beak like a harpoon.
The paper is great, shooting technically very good.
As for the sentimentality expressed in various posts, I personally do not do neither hot nor cold. A rabbit or a fish that's the difference? Always living beings are and if you feel sorry for one, we should feel sorry for the other (which, however, no one ever expresses when you see herons got on the fish).

I also happened to see a heron in his mouth something (do not tell you what it might have sucked, but if you go in my gallery of North Park you see it). I did a series of photos that have been massacred by negative comments including that of the gallery. It is definitely not a photo of the best, but those conditions were and throw them sincerely sorry. Of course these herons are beautiful hunters!!
In any case, congratulations for the shots and I echo the congratulations to the coolness of being able to shoot at such a time.
hello
Maurizio

For Angelino, without wanting to argue, of course: it's not that cheap sentimentality or doing good, if someone writes, myself included, that the hare makes him worth it, because they do not believe him? I do not think that behind this feeling there is hypocrisy but a way of feeling. I admit, however, that you're right when you say that no one feels the same penalty for a fish in the beak of a 'heron. how come? I do not know I did not answer, of course you also have all the reason in the world to affirm that even the poor fish is a 'living being. Quite simply I could attempt an explanation, so stupid, how trivial, as cynicism, the fact that the fish has no way to express, nor somatically or with mourning of sorts, his miserable destiny! There comes more natural move us to a gazelle in the jaws of a lion, a fish for us is more difficult, allhere. Even knowing that nature does not always need to have these "cruelty" for its economic survival. I do not judge the fact that you can not do neither hot nor cold, hello Siro.

To Angelino, without wanting to argue

Your recover personally, unlike my general note, it is already a controversy ;-)
is not that cheap sentimentality or doing good, if someone writes, myself included, that the hare makes him worth it, because they do not believe

I did not say I do not believe those who say otherwise. I just do not agree with. I have expressed and explained my thought.
Quite simply I could attempt an explanation, so stupid, how trivial, as cynicism, the fact that the fish has no way to express, either somatically or in lamentation of sorts, his miserable destiny! There comes more natural move us to a gazelle in the jaws of a lion, a fish for us is more difficult, everything & quigrave;

Forgive me but I think this is not cynicism, hypocrisy and needless. It seems to me a form of "racism animal." The fish does not complain and therefore should not be pitied, the rabbit is tender and white and so you should try tenderness ... then I ask you, if there was a rat in the picture as mentioned by Maurizio Ghislandi what would you have said? Surely he would have complained ... I'm not saying that you should not feel sorry, I'm saying that if you try for the one, for consistency and common sense need to go in for the other. I close here otherwise pollute the topic.

Angelino, maybe I'm wrong in the state of not wanting to argue, maybe it was better if I told you what I have written I have written as a simple clarification of two different points of view. I've already said I do not know why it is normal not to feel the same feeling for a fish, just comes so. In any case, it seems to me that we have clarified in our two positions which are not even that far away. For me incident closed, if incident was. ah, sorry, just a clarification: I did not take you as a person but to limit your thinking that respect. Finally, I ask excuse to Clara for usurping his topic for issues not strictly related to the photo and I do not remember exactly on what occasion, but it is the second time that I am guilty of this, sorry again, Clara.
