Domenica 18 Agosto. Il giorno della partenza dalla Great Manchester. Appena svegliato porto Guido il mio barboncino a fare una passeggiata nella campagna attorno al Last Drop Village il nostro albergo immerso nella catena montuosa dei Pennini. Il cielo è cupo data l'alta umidità, ma si intravedono degli sprazzi di azzurro; corro in camera a prendere l'attrezzatura e dopo diverso tempo i lampi di luce si infilano tra le nuvole di umido dipingendo di luce e colore questi tipici fiorellini che ho visto solo in questa zona dell'Inghilterra. A voi la gioia di colore e luce...Buona visione. I monti Pennini sono una catena montuosa o collinare inglese, che si estende dal Peak District nelle Midlands fino alle Cheviot Hills, sul confine scozzese, per una lunghezza di 400 chilometri. Questa catena non è molto alta ed è per questo che si parla spesso di colline.
