Il 17/40 è stato il mio primo "serie L". Prima lo usavo di più, poi ho acquistato il 24/70 che risulta più comodo come obiettivo "factotum" sia per l'estensione focale, sia per il diaframma 2,8. Ho voluto tenere, però il 17/40 per l'estensione tra 24 e 17, estensione grandangolare che se ben sfruttata regala grandi potenzialità, con una distorsione accettabile. Non è poi così tanto sensibile al flare, come leggevo spesso, importante è usarlo con attenzione e con il suo paraluce. Buona nitidezza ed alle focali per cui è progettato il diaframma di massima apertura: f/4 non pone particolari problemi. Secondo me un obiettivo con qualità costruttiva serie L ed un rapporto costo/ prestazioni nettamente favorevole. Lo consiglio
