AMALFI “ la perla della Costiera” La fontana “ DE CAPE E CIUCCI” E' un arredo urbano realizzato nel corso del XVIII secolo in pietra, che evidenzia due facce umane scolpite in marmo. Il suo appellativo ricorda la tradizione dell'abbeveraggio degli asini (ciucci) che scendevano dal villaggio di Pogerola con carichi di frutta, verdura e legname. Sin dal 1974 nella fontana viene allestito un caratteristico presepe mediante pietre calcaree e tufacee prelevate nella parte interna della Valle dei Mulini e modellate dalle acque fluviali; le statuine raffiguranti i personaggi principali del presepe sono in gran parte immersi nell'acqua della fontana. L'ideazione del presepe fu degli amalfitani Giuseppe Buonocore, Vincenzo Livano, e Nicola Pepe. Oggi la famiglia Infante si è assunta la cura dell'allestimento e della conservazione della pregevole opera artistica presepiale.
