In questo periodo il bosco si sta trasformando davanti ai nostri occhi dal punto di vista del paesaggio, certamente una delle variazioni più evidenti è la trasformazione che avviene nelle piante, all'approssimarsi dell'inverno. In autunno infatti assistiamo a una vera e propria esplosione di colore nei boschi delle nostre montagne: le foglie assumono tinte che vanno dal rosso vivo, quasi viola, al marrone, passando per il giallo e l'arancione. Il cambiamento di colore delle foglie ne anticipa la successiva caduta, ed in questo angolo del Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi l'autunno ha apparecchiato i tavoli attorno al piccolo ricocero.
