Questa foto, come quelle dei rinoceronti, della giraffa ecc., è stata fatta in piena notte da un capanno situato nei pressi di una pozza dove si recano a bere gli animali..
Come ho scritto nella scheda sulla riserva di Zimanga si tratta di capanni speciali, progettati per fotografi, dotati di vetro e di un sistema di illuminazione particolari che permettono di realizzare questo tipo di immagini. Naturalmente serve un pò di pratica e un pò di fortuna. Nel caso del leone è stata una apparizione di 60 secondi in 12 ore di appostamento … ma ne è valsa la pena :-)
