Questo è il laghetto del ranocchio; è stato molto più facile fotografare le ninfee!:fwink:. Questa che sono riuscita a fotografare in boccio è stata la prima in assoluto. Si tratta di un fiore particolarmente bello, i cui petali di tonalità che variano dal bianco al rosa, dal lilla all'azzurro, lo fanno assomigliare a una stella, aspetto che ha dato origine a una leggenda dal risvolto un po' drammatico. Per il fatto di essere una pianta acquatica che cresce in zone paludose e fiorisce con il massimo candore, la ninfea da sempre è simbolo di purezza. Proprio come il giglio quindi, la ninfea viene associata alla castità e al candore e con questo significato, già nell'antico Egitto la ninfea veniva rappresentata nei geroglifici e usata per adornare le tombe. Per gli antichi Greci la ninfea simboleggiava l'amore platonico�e l'amore non corrisposto o destinato a non essere mai consumato, e in taluni casi veniva considerata un potente antiafrodisiaco. Infine, secondo le culture�orientali, la ninfea simboleggia�l'alba, il sorgere del sole in tutta la sua bellezza.
