Il piccolo lago di Tret è uno dei luoghi più amati, frequentati e fotografati della parte settentrionale della Val di Non: posto quasi al confine tra i territori delle province autonome di Trento e di Bolzano, a 1600 metri sul livello del mare, non è raro sentirlo chiamare con i diversi appellativi di lago di Santa Maria, lago di Tret o Felixer Weiher. Nei primi anni del secolo scorso la costruzione di una diga trasformò il piccolo stagno originario in un bacino artificiale con finalità turistiche. Oggi lo specchio d'acqua e le meravigliose foreste di conifere che lo circondano costituiscono un ambiente posto sotto tutela, un Naturdenkmal o Monumento naturale come indicano i solerti cartelli sulle sue rive ...
