Il Santuario di Oropa è un Santuario Mariano - dedicato alla Madonna Nera - situato una dozzina di chilometri a nord della città di Biella a circa 1.200 metri di altitudine, in un anfiteatro naturale di montagne che circondano la sottostante città e fanno parte delle Prealpi Biellesi. Il Santuario è permeato da una religiosità profonda e particolarmente viva che affonda le sue radici in secoli di devozione popolare. Il territorio in cui sorge è un'oasi di natura incontaminata e un paradiso per turisti e sportivi, grazie ai molti sentieri per passeggiate e trekking, ai rifugi alpini e alla funivia che conduce all'incantevole lago del Mucrone. Uno dei tanti gioielli della nostra cara e bella Italia. Foto scattata il 1° maggio.
