Ho fotografato una scena molto rara perchè come hai detto anche tu l'accoppiamento dell'ape regina avviene in volo.
Questo per evitare di posarsi sui fiori ed essere uccisi da qualche predatore, perdendo così la regina, che è l'unica ape dell'alveare in grado di essere fecondata.
Ma quì hanno fatto un'eccezione
Inoltre la regina si accoppia con più maschi alla volta. e anche mentre scattavo ce n'erano altri che mi volavano intorno
