Il "Giant" Mr. Arbitrium appare nell'atto di spingere o sorreggere, a scelta dell'osservatore, l'architettura dove si trova di volta in volta collocato. È il frutto dell'ultima fase di ricerca dell'artista, che riflette su temi d'attualità, in particolare sui cambiamenti e ritmi accelerati del nostro tempo e pone all'osservatore un dilemma: se conservare le tradizioni e la cultura del passato, rappresentate in questo caso dall'edificio storico, oppure respingere la nostra storia e cultura di uomini occidentali. Come in altre sue opere, in questa scultura, appare una stretta relazione tra figurazione e concetto: Giannelli ci costringe a interrogarci su tematiche contemporanee forti, di cui lui stesso si fa portavoce, interrogandosi su quello sarà il mondo tra venti/trent'anni. Il dubbio della scelta quindi è posto da un nuovo che avanza, avvertito dall'artista come potenzialmente minaccioso. Attraverso la sua opera l'artista però non vuole dare giudizi, bensì offrire un invito a riflettere su queste tematiche.
