La diga del Vajont e Longarore sono tristemente legati dalla tragedia del 9 ottobre 1963. Tante sono le testimonianze a cominciare dalla chiesa della cittadina. Ma oltre a Longarone furono distrutti altri paesi e frazioni della valle del Vajont. Oggi abbiamo visitato il Comune di Erto-Casso e mi ha colpito, fra le tante altre rovine ancora visibili, questa casa in località Erto con le sue scritte eloquenti sui muri mai restaurati completamente. La visita guidata alla diga del Vajont e quella ai due abitati del Comune è consigliata per chi vuole davvero capire quali furono i motivi del disastro. Una pagina davvero molto, ma molto buia di quegli anni.
