Maurizio

Hi Maurizio, you did a great job in the caption, I find it very informative and very interesting, I did not know about all this and I will make a great gift. I am amazed at the long journey that these ducks take, as do many other species of birds. You live in a beautiful place where migration is solid, you with great passion and technical ability manage to take wonderful photos of immense difficulty, I look at them and say, very good Maurizio, blessed you that you have the opportunity to observe so much beauty 8-) 8-)
Grazieeeeeee, hello, have a good evening and a good start to the week

The migration through the Alpine passes is also wonderful even if it is not as convenient and easy to observe as the one that follows the coasts and I, apart from now I can no longer do appetizing in the mountains, until about ten years ago I would have liked to have frequented it.
I was very pleased with your appreciation and I too hope that this week, which has now begun a few minutes ago, will be fantastic.

Andrea: thank you for the good wishes that I unfortunately only read now, but I wish you all the best for everything you want.
Mauri: I do not know their passages on the Adriatic coast, however, when it was allowed, on the Marche coast there was a characteristic hunt, on moon nights, called "to the cuccio". I do not know other than that, being nocturnal migratory and being deserted at night the marzipans line them and even fly over them to find more easily places to rest and refuel; perhaps along the Adriatic coast they do not enter the ground during the day, or, at least, not as frequently as on the Tyrrhenian, which would explain that night hunt they did in the Marche.
I thank you very much
A cordial greeting
Maurizio
