Mi piace, di tanto in tanto, fare delle camminate lungo il corso del fiume Sesia, scattando qualche foto. Lungo il suo corso, come in tutti gli altri corsi d'acqua, è facile trovare zone di densa vegetazione arbustiva che, se non viene controllata, diventa un'area con alberi d'alto fusto, innestati comunque in un terreno poco stabile. Quando l'acqua del fiume aumenta queste aree arboree tendono a creare sbarramenti che, cedendo poi all'improvviso, portano a ondate pericolose, soprattutto quando il fiume è in piena. È quindi indispensabile, secondo me, intervenire per ripulire gli argini da queste aree e anche dai residui di ramaglie, massi, detriti, tronchi che si ammucchiano negli alvei in maniera oltremodo consistente, come si può intuire dalla foto che ho postato. Ciò, tuttavia, non significa fare tabula rasa di qualunque cosa vi sia nel letto del fiume, che comporterebbe un'eccessiva alterazione ecologica, ma un'operazione di pulizia mirata e consapevole finalizzata alla reintegrazione di quegli elementi naturali più stabili che possono invece aiutare a contenere i flussi d'acqua.
